Cosy and intimate aren’t words you’d usually use to describe a traditional, stone-built mill house. But this endearing space manages to combine rustic-grandeur with a home-from-home feel. Enjoy all the character of a rustic barn wedding and still have a small ceremony with close family and friends. Large double doors open directly onto the central courtyard area, giving you the freedom to transform the space throughout your day.

During the day, natural light pours in through the full-height windows, bathing the stone walls and original beams in light. At night, the space comes to life under the warm glow of festoon lighting hanging from the Mill’s original grain threshers.

When you stand in the Old Mill and listen to the water rushing by in the burn outside, there’s a calming, almost spiritual feel to the place. Which is why, perhaps, it lends itself well to faith-based ceremonies and a traditional Scot’s tying of the hands, alike.

78m2 | Seats up to 80 dinner guests (round or banquet tables ) / Seats up to 120 for ceremonies
